Gary has been a professional designer for 30 years in a wide range of industries including entertainment, retail healthcare and hospitality. Clients included Ford Iveco, Barclays, Mercure, Greene King, BBC Films, Gary Barlow and the Royal Opera. He has been involved in higher education throughout his career, as a visiting lecturer at UAL and University of London before joining Bournemouth University full time in 2009. He joined Southampton University in 2020 and continues to work with RNLI International on developing anti-drowning products for Bangladesh and Tanzania. Gary is an Associate Editor of 'Design Technology: an International Journal'.
