I am a PhD student in Computer Science working on developing automatic identification systems and early detection solutions for multimodal fake news online under the supervision of Dr. Shoaib Jameel, who is my main supervisor. My second supervisors are Dr Haiming Liu and Prof Leslie Carr. I am now implementing some complex and interesting experiments under the supervision of Dr Imran Razzak at the University of New South Wales and Dr Yunfei Long at the University of Essex, who are my co-supervisors.
My research interests are mainly in natural language processing, machine learning/ deep learning, social media analysis, and computational social science. I always have boundless energy and passion for these topics.
Outside of work, I'm also fascinated by archeology and astronomy. It would be great if I have the opportunity to use my skills to contribute to the exploration of these areas.
I have a fitness history of more than ten years. But since I started my PhD journey, I have been extremely busy and I was forced to give up this hobby after weighing it down. I have now lost over ten pounds. I've been looking for any opportunity to go back to the gym.
Before joining the University of Southampton, I was a research associate at the University of Science and Technology of China, and I also worked for two IT companies. During these periods, I have had the privilege of participating in some significant national strategies in China, such as Yangtze River Delta integration and digital government.
If you want to work with me, please don't hesitate to contact me.
