About
Jeng Yi Chong joined the School of Chemistry in January 2024 as a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering. His research focuses on innovating membrane technology for advanced separation processes and future sustainability.
Jeng received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, UK (2018), MSc (Research) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada (2013), and BEng (First Class Honours) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore (2011).
Before joining the University of Southampton, Jeng was a postdoctoral researcher at Singapore Membrane Technology Centre, NTU (2018-2021). In 2021, he was awarded the NTU Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship.
