Dr Weiguang Wang is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Mechanical Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Southampton, UK. He obtained Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018 at The University of Manchester, UK. Prior to the current position, Dr Wang worked as Rosetrees Trust (UK) Research Fellow (2019 to 2022) and Lecturer in Advanced Manufacturing (2022 to 2024) at the School of Engineering, The University of Manchester. Dr Wang has strong research interest in Additive Manufacturing, Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, his research focuses on the development of biocompatible, biodegradable tissue engineering scaffolds. Dr Wang has 40+ peer-reviewed publications with 1200+ citations, worked as PI/Co-I coordinating research grants over £700,000. Dr Wang is also Research Affiliate of CIRP (Collège International pour la Recherche en Productique - The International Academy for Production Engineering) since 2023.
