Dr Tobias Feldmann-Wüstefeld is a Lecturer in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience within Psychology at the University of Southampton.

Tobias Feldmann-Wüstefeld joined the University of Southampton’s Department of Psychology in 2018 as a Lecturer in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. His research involves visual attention (how does the brain decide which information to process and which to ignore?) and working memory (how does the brain maintain relatively complex information over short periods of time?). To investigate these questions, his main methodology is electroencephalography (EEG) that he uses for event-related potentials, frequency analyses and multivariate encoding models.

Tobias Feldmann-Wüstefeld received his Diplom in Psychology from the Berlin Institute of Technology and completed a PhD in Systemic Neuroscience at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich with Anna Schubö. He was a postdoctoral research fellow with Ed Vogel and Ed Awh at the University of Chicago. He received a stipend from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes and an award by the German Psychological Society for the best dissertation in Experimental Psychology.
