Project overview

This preliminary project will develop a conceptual understanding of social connectedness and broadly describe its possible elements and outcomes. This framework will support developing interventions to enhance older adults' social connectedness in partnership with Southampton City Council.

This work aims to address the following research questions:

1. How is social connectedness defined?

2. What tools and approaches exist to measure social connectedness?

3. What are the impacts of social connectedness?
