2020/21 academic year

In line with the UK Government announcement on 30 December 2020, our education delivery has now temporarily moved online, until at least 1 February (the start of Semester 2).

This means there will be no in-person, on-campus teaching, until we advise you otherwise - with the exception of Medicine, Health Sciences and PGCE students. These students will be able to continue their placements and/or in person on campus teaching as planned.

We are currently reviewing how the guidance affects our students and will update this page accordingly over the coming days.

Arriving from outside the UK

If you’re arriving from certain countries, you’ll need to self-isolate for 10 days in addition to your settling in week. So you should arrive 3 weeks before your induction.

This does not apply to every country. GOV.UK lists the countries currently exempt from self-isolation on arrival.

Start dates

Teaching for the 2020/21 academic year began on 5 October 2020 - If you were due to start in January 2021, your term will begin on 1 February 2021.

Postgraduate start dates

The majority of our postgraduate taught courses began their academic year on 5 October.

A small number of postgraduate courses will now begin in January 2021 instead of September. We made this change after taking feedback from applicants.

If your 12-month course starts in January instead of September, it will still last the full 12 months.

Your online course details might still say you’re starting in September, even though we’ve told you your course will start in January. Don’t worry, we’re still updating our online records.
