Senior Innovation Consultant for the National Biofilm Innovation Centre

William Green joined the NBIC in November 2018 as a Senior Innovation Consultant. William started his scientific career at Fugro EMU ltd as a project manager in the microbiology laboratory managing clients from hospitals to cruise ship operators. He then moved to the University of Portsmouth where he built and maintained the commercial offering of the Universities research equipment.

William has a Degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology from the University of Portsmouth.

Research interests

The National Biofilms Innovation Centre (NBIC) is a BBSRC and Innovate UK-funded Innovation and Knowledge Centre (IKC). NBIC is a £26.2m commitment from the funders, partnering academic institutions and industry base. The NBIC consortium comprises four lead research institutions (Southampton, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Nottingham) and a wider partnership of collaborating institutions across the UK.  Through its national and international collaborative networks, and industry base, NBIC will create a fusion of world-class research and industry to deliver breakthrough technologies in the control and exploitation of biofilms.
