I was born and raised in Mexico, I used to work in a hospital as a Chemist in a clinical laboratory doing routine, I decided to be a postgraduate research student in UK looking for broaden my knowledge to share it in a future.

Academic qualifications

2004-2007 BSc Chemist, Pharmacologist, and Biologist by Autonomous National University of Mexico.

2015-2016 Master’s in research in Biomedical Sciences and Translational Medicine. University of Liverpool, UK.

Research interests

Previously I worked on investigating potential biomarkers in Endometrial Cancer through utilising techniques in Molecular Biology during my Masters (MRes) course.

Currently I am doing research investigating the role of PTEN (a tumour suppressor protein) which has been found to be mutated/lost in breast cancer, in particular Triple Negative Breast Cancer (a clinical subtype of breast cancer).
