Research project: Stress-induced transcriptional responses and their role in neurodegeneration

Currently Active:
Project type:

The major neurogenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer’s) arise due the misfolding and aggregation of cellular proteins. We have identified stress-induced transcriptional responses during such disease progressions. We are actively investigating if these responses encode exacerbating or mitigating outcomes during protein misfolding induced neurodegeneration.
