- design and produce prototypes or products that address unmet market needs, emphasizing social and technological inclusion, accessibility, and sustainability.
- demonstrate planning and systematic application of laboratory-based research methods to e-textiles and wearables, including fabrication techniques and property testing.

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- apply holistic design and system approach in the context of wearable e-textiles to create new protypes/products addressing the demands of relevant stakeholders and conduct usability engineering to address real world needs.
- critically analyse existing e-textile solutions and synthesize effective technical solutions using creativity and innovation, integrating transdisciplinary approaches to address health, ethics, environmental, and economic issues.

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- synthesise and create through data, information, methods and appropriate techniques, a project that creates original outputs.

Syllabus
The module is designed to demonstrate your innovative approach, creative problem-solving and professionalism in the E-Textiles sector, in preparation for the next step in your chosen career.
This module is delivered through project briefing/s, studio-based learning, digital literacy skills, technical workshops and seminars. Supplementary input includes preparing a business plan (should you choose an industry next step), or a research proposal (should you plan to remain in academia or research).
