This module provides an introduction to microeconomics, the detailed analysis of individuals and their interactions within the economy. Combined with Macroeconomics this module will provide an appropriate foundation for subsequent economic modules.

- Understand the role of assumptions in microeconomic models and identify the potential limitations of such models
- Apply core economic principles and reasoning to microeconomic topics, including externalities, public goods, and the analysis of policy interventions
- Identify essential features of microeconomic problems and recognise the difference between exogenous shocks, policy instruments and economic outcomes
