Mr Andrew (‘Andy’) Richardson is a Lecturer in Adult Nursing within the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences (FELS), School of Health Sciences, University of Southampton. Andy trained and qualified a nurse in the Royal Navy (RN), qualifying in 1985. Over a 24-year career he worked in both primary and secondary care settings: on ships, in medical centres and hospitals. Andy’s clinical background is in cardiac nursing, with current interests in risk factors for cardiovascular disease and the science of behavioural cardiology.

Andy joined the School of Health Sciences, University of Southampton in 2004.
