Mrs Sue Toward MA, MSc, DipHSM, FHEA

Sue Toward is a lecturer in Health Sciences, University of Southampton. She started her career as an NHS National Management Trainee in the West Country. After completing the scheme Sue held management posts in the community mental health and acute sectors. Sue has worked at the University of Southampton in a variety of roles since 1988. Her first appointment was as a Research Fellow in the Institute for Health Policy Studies (Faculty of Social Sciences). Sue’s current role in Health Sciences involves teaching policy and management at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

My role in the School involves teaching policy and management, mainly to experienced practitioners. I have a background in NHS general management.
