Lecturer in Human Rights Law

Dr Claire Lougarre is a Lecturer in Human Rights Law at Southampton Law School and the Director of the research centre Health, Ethics and Law (HEAL).
Claire's primary research expertise lies at the intersection of human rights law and health. Broadly speaking, her main fields of interest are: human rights law, particularly research on social rights; and public international law, particularly research on the law of treaties.
Claire joined the Law School in September 2014. Before joining Southampton Law School, Claire worked as a Teaching Fellow in University College London, King’s College London, and National University of Ireland, Galway.
