Peta is a paediatric doctor in the Wessex region and is a Clinical Training Fellow and Senior Teaching Fellow in Clinical Ethics and Law at the University of Southampton.

Peta graduated from the University of Southampton BM4 programme in 2012. Prior to her career in medicine, she worked as an occupational therapist in a variety of clinical areas including psychiatry, spinal cord injuries and chronic pain. Peta undertook a year of voluntary work in South Africa, working with children with HIV.

Peta is a member of the UHS Clinical Ethics Committee and has a specific interest in difficult decisions in medical practice for children. Peta is researching the ethical issues associated with the decision-making process and utilisation of medical technology for critically ill children on the intensive care unit.

As part of the CELS team, Peta delivers a range of education activities across the different BM programmes and Deputy Module Lead for Clinical Ethics and Law.
