Systematic Review of Self Management

The purpose of this literature review was to explore how to support self management of cancer related problems by systematically reviewing published primary research evidence of what people affected by cancer do to help themselves when living with cancer (from the point of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond). By gaining a better understanding of what people do to help themselves, health and social care professionals will be in a position to support choices made by people affected by cancer to enhance physical and psychosocial well-being beyond decisions about treatment options based on research evidence.
