Dr Lateef Jolaoso is a Lecturer in Mathematical Sciences within the Operational Research group. His research interest focuses on developing efficient and tractable algorithms for solving complex optimization problems arising in machine learning and image processing. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed research articles in reputable international journals with a growing citation record (over 1,700 citations, h-index 27). Dr Jolaoso is a fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and its Application, Fellow of Higher Education Academy, a member of the Operational Research Society and Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. His contributions include collaborations with international teams, supervision of postgraduate students on industrial linked projects, serving as a referee for continuous optimization journals and presentation of talks as invited guest in various conferences and institutions.
