Dr Hayato Takahashi is a Teaching Fellow in the MA Global Media Management program at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton. He is a researcher, cultural critic, and music practitioner, with expertise in writing and production. His research interests encompass new media, environmental studies, science and technology studies, philosophy of science, cultural theory, and aesthetics.
In his PhD thesis, Tracing the Fallout: An Interdisciplinary Study of Technoscientific Practice of the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster, he delved into the technological and aesthetic dimensions of environmental monitoring systems following the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Additionally, as a co-translator, he contributed to the translation of Mark Fisher's essay collection, "k-punk" (London: Repeater/ Toyko: ele-king books, 2023).
