Dr Yizhen Lu is a Lecturer in the Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour Department at Southampton Business School.
Her research specialises in employee well-being, political correctness, and phenemon-related research. She holds a PhD in Management from the National University of Singapore and an MSc in Organizational Psychology from City, University of London. Prior to her appoinement at the University of Southampton, Dr. Lu has taught across prestigious institutions—including ESSEC Business School, National University of Singapore and James Cook University with consistently outstanding student evaluations.
Her research, published in top-tier journals like the Academy of Management Journal and Frontiers in Psychology, examines workplace phenomena through interdisciplinary lenses, blending psychology and HRM. Dr. Lu actively engages with global academic communities through conferences (AOM, EAWOP) and editorial roles (Journal of Global Mobility). She holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and is interested in designing interactive, cross-disciplinary curricula to ensure her teaching futureproofs her students.
