I am a philosophy PhD student at Southampton University writing my project on desire theories of welfare/well-being.

My key research interest is in philosophy of welfare/well-being, where I am seeking to articulate a defence of a version of the desire theory. Prior to coming to Southampton I completed an MPhilStud in philosophy at Birkbeck University, where I specialised in Aristotle, ethics, and political philosophy. I also have a keen interest in environmental philosophy and the philosophy behind the ways that governments seek to evaluate the desirability and effectiveness of their policies, particularly in reference to welfare/well-being measurements and catastrophic risk avoidance.

Research interests

Welfare/well-being, ethics, environmental philosophy, political philosophy

Research group
