Smart Electronic Materials and Systems

Our interests range from nano-scale biological sensors to complete sensor systems.

We research systems and materials for sensing industrial, environmental or biological parameters. Our expertise ranges from nanoscale electronic materials to complete wireless sensor systems for the Internet of Things. We can print novel functional electronic materials, including sensors and electroluminescent inks, onto fabrics.

I work at the interface between the material sciences and the life sciences, a research area that includes bioengineering. My main interest is the interaction between nano/microfabricated materials and biomolecules, specifically in the context of cell membranes and their molecular components.
