Quality of life

We develop Quality of Life questionnaires for patients with cancer, in collaboration with the European Organisation for Research and Treatment (EORTC) Quality of Life Group. We develop Quality of Life Questionnaires for children with cancer, Adolescents and Young Adults (AYAs) with cancer, and young survivors of cancer.

Interventions for children and young people with a physical condition

We develop interventions for children with a physical condition, such as cancer, and include serious games, and using quality of life in clinical practice

Paediatric Palliative Care

Research into the experiences of parents of a child receiving end of life care, focusing on parental coping, quality of care, inequalities, and sudden and unexpected deaths

Diet and physical activity in young people

Understanding complex system influences on these health behaviours in young people, with a focus on the food environment and the development of interventions that are consistent with young people’s needs and values.

Promotion of agency and autonomy

Young people peer research training for young people to enable them to ask and answer their own health and well-being questions.

Engagement of young people in health and social care decision-making

Analysis of effective methods of involving young people in setting healthcare and research priorities; establishing mechanisms and democratic innovations that enable young people’s voices to be heard in policy and decision making.
