Stephanie is a prehistoric maritime and landscape archaeologist specialising in the application of innovative digital approaches to archaeological and environmental contexts. She holds a PhD and MSc in Maritime Archaeology from the University of Southampton and an MFA in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
She is currently the postdoctoral researcher for the AHRC-funded 'Islands of Stone' project, investigating Neolithic crannogs in Scotland. Her research has included field-based data collection methods (e.g., underwater excavation, surveying, coring) complimented by digital approaches.
Stephanie is also passionate about research-led teaching and contributes to a range of undergraduate and post-graduate modules, with a focus on scientific diving and archaeological field methods. Additional qualifications include Associate Fellow of Advance HE, GVC Drone Pilot, HSE Scuba Diver and BSAC Assistant Dive Instructor.
