COVID-19 saliva testing for staff

As staff of the University of Southampton you should test regularly if you are accessing any of the University campuses, shared facilities or halls of residence.

This is to ensure we maintain a COVID-secure University, helping to keep everyone safe from infection.

Please follow the information below about how to take part in testing as a member of staff.

Opt in to the COVID-19 saliva testing programme

Joining the testing programme

If you are eligible to participate in this phase of the Programme, you will receive an invitation to take part either by email or as a printed document from your line manager. To opt in to the Programme, you will need to follow the instructions in your invitation to complete a Microsoft form online.

When to take your test

Once you opt in to the Programme, a test pack and label sheet will be sent to your home address. You’ll then receive a text message to let you know when to take your first test.

Your test should be taken first thing in the morning, then returned to one of the drop-off points listed below as soon as possible.

We’ll let you know when it’s time to take your next test by sending you a text message.
