Aims and Objectives
Learning Outcomes
Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Apply advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assess, analyse, and manage clinical situations, making evidence-based decisions that ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and fetus/infant.
 - Recognise and respond, and where appropriate, escalate care during evolving clinical situations, to ensure timely interventions and collaboration with relevant healthcare professionals.
 - Reflect on how you, as a professional, engage in effective and compassionate self-care practices to support your personal and emotional well-being.
 - Demonstrate the ability to autonomously plan, deliver, and manage safe and effective midwifery care, considering the physical, emotional, cultural, and psychological needs of women and newborn infants.
 - Communicate effectively and professionally with women, families, and multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating respect, empathy, and the ability to negotiate, advocate, and collaborate.
