The government is now offering 15 hours of childcare funding (for 38 weeks per year) to working parents of children aged 2 years and over. You need to check online to see if you are eligible to claim this:-

Because the Early Years Centre is open for 50 weeks of the year, we meet this offer by providing your child with a maximum of 11.4 hours of funded education per week over 50 weeks. You will receive the funding from the term after your child’s 2nd birthday.
If you qualify for a code after the deadline has expired for the termly applications, your funding will be applied from the following term. These codes are only valid for a 3 month period and so you will need to ensure that it does not expire before the next terms applications.

The Government are extending the entitlement to free childcare to all parents of children aged 9 months & over with effect from 1st September 2024. You will receive the funding from the term after your child is 9 months old.
As with the 2 year funding, if you qualify for a code after the deadline has expired for the termly applications, your funding will be applied from the following term. These codes are only valid for a 3 month period and so you will need to ensure that it does not expire before the next terms applications.

If you are both working, then you may be entitled to receive the enhanced 3 year funding of 30 hours per week – given as 22.8 hours per week spread over 50 weeks of the year. You will need to apply for a code which you will give to your childcare provider in order to obtain your funding.
There is a termly deadline for applying for your code, and so if you obtain your code after the deadline your funding will be applied from the following term.
These codes are only valid for a 3 month period and so you will need to ensure that it does not expire before the next terms applications.
