Research project: Recognising and rewarding academic citizenship

Currently Active:
Yes

This project, funded by the Leadership foundation for higher education, is developing a best practice guide and case studies from a national and international review of the way that selected Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) recognise and reward academic citizenship via workforce policies and practices. ‘Academic citizenship’ refers to a set of attitudes and activities connected to internal and external service work supporting the infrastructure of academic life and the wider civic mission of the university. These attitudes and activities are central to institutional success and student satisfaction but are challenging to evidence.
