Space and satellite technologies research

Welcome to our space and satellite technologies research case studies

Satellite orbiting the earth

Global satellite coverage offers a unique, fact-based perspective that can help us overcome our greatest challenges. Its data plays an increasing role in how modern societies function. However, there are significant challenges to operating in this remote, airless and radioactive environment.

Our astronautics experts are exploring fundamental and applied research in space physics and spacecraft engineering, including both theoretical modelling and physical experimentation, supported by extensive computational and experimental facilities.

Our expertise in space environment and systems engineering, remote sensing, spacecraft structures, artificial intelligence and spacecraft autonomy and control have ensured that hardware developed by our team has successfully flown on space missions, including on the International Space Station.
