Sustaining groundwater safety in peri-urban areas.

The Groundwater2030 project team comprises the universities of Southampton, Surrey and Bristol in the UK, together with a Kenyan NGO, the Victoria Institute for Research on Environment and Development (VIRED) International, and a Kenyan university, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST). Several activities are planned, most notably a follow-up survey of groundwater quality and use in two neighbourhoods of the city of Kisumu that were originally surveyed in a baseline survey more than a decade ago.
