Myron Christodoulides is Professor of Bacteriology in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton.
Myron is a Professor of Bacteriology with broad interests in bacterial infections of humans and animals, in vaccine development and the discovery of new antimicrobials. His other main interests include vaccine development for neglected tropical diseases. His research portfolio involves collaborators from within the UK and from countries within the EU, Latin America, North America, Africa including South Africa, and from the Commonwealth - Australia, New Zealand and India.
Myron Christodoulides is a graduate in microbiology from University College London and the University of Glasgow and a specialist in bacteriology. His key interests are broad and encompass the development of vaccines for bacterial infections and for neglected tropical diseases; drug discovery for novel antimicrobials; development of rapid diagnostic assays. Central to his research is multi- and inter-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues all over the world.
