About
Jess Boxall ANutr is a Project Manager & Public Health Researcher and CORE eCRF Data Analyst at the Clinical Informatics Research Unit, part of the University of Southampton. Jess' research interests, as a Registered Associate Nutritionist (AfN), are in public health and nutrition, and she is currently part of projects investigating the impact of climate change on food insecurity and nutrition in rural, under-served populations.
The CORE team delivers high-quality data services to clinical research teams within the UK and internationally; this includes but is not limited to eCRF database development, expert advice in all things data, and further support such as data management or validation.

Jess currently co-supervises MSc and Undergraduate Medicine students for their research projects. She have also lectured to students internally and externally.
Biography
Through studying Biomedical Sciences at undergraduate and Public Health & Nutrition at master's level, Jess is interested in the relationship between food security and nutrition, and health. Particularly in the context of vulnerable or under-served populations . Nutrition and lifestyle factors play such an important role in reducing the chances of non-communicable diseases and ensuring good quality of life and she hopes to be able to continue learning and communicating around this area.
This is combined with Jess' interests in trial and data management in clinical research, due to her professional experience.
