Research project: The impact of global early institutional deprivation during emerging adulthood: pathways to successful transition in the ERA s

The study aims to follow up participants from the English and Romanian Adoptee (ERA) study, a unique multi-method longitudinal study which has investigated the effects of early severe institutional deprivation on outcomes in childhood and adolescence.

Participants in the study are now aged between 20 and 23 and the current study aims to assess the outcomes in emerging adulthood and to explore the moderating role of relationships.

Duration: 2012-2015

Funded by a three year project grant from the Economic and Social Research Council.
