I am currently a Visiting Fellow in Mathematical Sciences as I am now retired from lecturing and leading programmes. I enjoy ad-hoc opportunities to carry out mentoring, teaching and research.

Teaching
Post- and undergraduate subjects in which I have lectured include forecasting, stochastic processes, simulation, introduction to management, healthcare modelling and decision modelling and analysis. I led programmes in both Mathematical Sciences and the Business School: responsibilities included admissions, welcome weeks, programme design and attendance at examination boards.
Biography
Operational Research (OR) has been a cornerstone in my education and work history, from my undergraduate degree in mathematics and management studies at Cambridge University, to my MSc and PhD degrees in OR at the University of Southampton. My working career prior to my postgraduate studies involved using OR and computer programming skills in transportation and government. In Southampton, I have had the privilege of supporting MSc and PhD students in a wide variety of projects, based mostly in the healthcare sector. My own PhD was concerned with sustainable location for community healthcare facilities.
