Our powerboating activities
The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) National Powerboat Scheme is aimed at craft of up to about 33 feet (10 metres), without a galley or toilet on board. The qualifications gained from this scheme are recognised around the world and can be beneficial to those driving commercially.
We're proud to offer all of the powerboating courses including Level 1 and 2, Intermediate Day Cruising, Advanced Day and Night and Safety Boat. We also offer one-to-one training sessions with one of our seasoned instructors when you wish to build on your skills.

RYA Powerboat Level 2
This 2 day course is seen as the benchmark for powerboating qualifications across the world. No prior skills are needed, and this course will help attendees become fully self-sufficient powerboaters. -
Advanced Powerboat Package
Our Advanced powerboat package is ideal for anyone looking to get the Advanced powerboat qualification. -
RYA Safety Boat
This 2 day course will teach you the skills needed to act as an escort, safety or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes.

RYA Intermediate Powerboat (Day Cruising)
If you’re comfortable with the basics of powerboating, this 2 day course will take your skills to the next level, with practical experience of piloting and passage-planning on coastal waters during the day. -
RYA Advanced Powerboat (Day and Night)
Aimed at leisure and professional boaters with intermediate level skills, this course will equip you with the skills to undertake more adventurous coastal trips by both day and night. -
Powerboat Instructor
We operate as a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Recognised Training Centre and offer a course for people looking to train as powerboat instructors.
