Cricket is a fun way to improve your cardiovascular fitness, agility and hand-eye coordination. We offer indoor cricket nets in the Students’ Union building and outdoor nets at Wide Lane Sports Ground. 

Our nets

Our indoor and outdoor cricket nets offer a safe, enclosed environment for both batters and bowlers to work on their technique.

You must book a session to use the nets.

The Students' Union has cricket clubs for those interested in improving technique and playing competitively.

Cancelling a session

Cancel your booking online

You can also:

Only the person who made the booking can cancel it. Please cancel a session you will not attend at least 4 hours in advance. Non-members who cancel at least 4 hours in advance will get a credit for the fees paid.

If you're not coming to a session that you've booked and do not tell us, you may be fined £5.99. Your membership may also be suspended until you pay it.

What to wear

You must wear non-marking shoes. If you're not sure whether your shoes are non-marking, try the non-marking shoes test.

You must wear suitable clothing while playing cricket. You'll be asked to leave if you wear jeans while playing.
