About the project

The Wireless Intelligence and Networked Sensing Lab (WiNTEL) at the University of Southampton is offering multiple funded PhD positions in next-generation communications and networking.

Join us to help shape the future of 6G through cutting-edge research in:

  • AI-native wireless networks
  • integrated sensing and communication
  • non-terrestrial networks
  • near-field communication
  • physical-layer security and authentication

You'll work on high-impact research challenges at the intersection of wireless communications, intelligence, and networked sensing, with opportunities to contribute to new theories, algorithms, and system designs for future wireless systems. These projects are ideal if you're highly motivated and interested in advancing the foundations and applications of next-generation wireless technologies.
