Dr Michail Veliziotis is Lecturer in Human Resource Management within Southampton Business School at the University of Southampton.

Michail Veliziotis studied economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece. He holds a PhD from the University of Essex. His main research interests are in the fields of employment studies, industrial relations and labour economics. Before joining the University of Southampton, he worked as a Research Fellow in Employment Studies at the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Research interests

Dr Veliziotis has research interests in employment studies, industrial relations and labour economics.

Organisational Behaviour/ Human Resource Management Research Group; Centre of Excellence for Relational Leadership & Change (CRLC)

 

Prospective PhD students

Michail is interested in supervising PhD students on topics related to the link between labour market institutions and the comparative outcomes of people, organizations and/or countries, the determinants and impact of job quality, and the implications of trade union activity for employee behaviour and organizational performance. Some of these research themes can be co-supervised with Dr. Guy Vernon.Please apply through the formal process of the Southampton Business School.
