About

Lisa is based in the School of Primary Care, Population Science, and Medical Education (PPM) in the Faculty of Medicine, where she is undertaking an NIHR Fellowship. She is a Chartered Health Psychologist and Senior Research Fellow. Lisa is a core member of the NIHR BRC (National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre) Data, Health, and Society theme, the deputy chair of the PPM EDI Committee, a Visiting Fellow at the University Medical Centre Groningen in the Netherlands, and a member of the Applied Genomics and Public Health Research Group.

Lisa’s research broadly involves applying a behavioural science approach to explore the ethical and psychosocial aspects of implementing new technologies in healthcare. Lisa’s current focus in this area is developing interventions to support patients in communicating inherited risk to close relatives.
