Fitness Training

Sport and Wellbeing offers a variety of fitness products to help you make the most of your time in our facilities.  Whether you want to measure your progress or kick-start your fitness plan, we’re here to help make it happen.

Resistance training is proven to be a key element to any fitness program. Whether its for elite sports, weight loss or general health, having some element of lifting weights is vital to aid in getting the results you want.

These technique clinics have been designed to give you the knowledge of how to use the most common types of resistance training equipment. With this knowledge you can then confidently walk in to almost any gym in the world and be able to safely use the equipment.

The Clinics will cover a range of different exercises using:

- Kettlebells

- Barbells

- Dumbells

The exercises being covered will consist of:

- Squat variations

- Deadlift Variations

- The Kettlebell Swing

- Shoulder Press Variations

- Chest/Bench Press variations

- Back exercise variations (eg Bent Over row and single arm rows)

These clinics are for you if:

- You have never used the equipment before

- You are unsure on your current technique

- You would like a re-fresher since the lockdown periods

- You would like to learn something new

To keep in line with the government COVID guidelines, all our sessions will be up to 45 minutes long with a maximum of 5 participants.

Please arrive wearing comfortable sports clothing you are able to easily move in and ensure you bring a bottle of water. You can also bring a pen/paper if you would like to take notes as there will be information sheets provided

Sport & Wellbeing currently offer the opportunity to use body stat examinations in the form of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) as a primary method for estimating body composition, and in particular body fat.


BIA actually determines the electrical impedance, or opposition to the flow of an electric current through body tissues which can then be used to calculate an estimate of total body water (TBW). TBW can be used to estimate fat-free body mass and, by difference with body weight, body fat.
