About the project
The INSPIRE doctoral training partnership is offering to fund up to 30 environmental science and physical geography PhDs.
Studying through the doctoral training partnership means you'll benefit from:
- training in skills in techniques such as big data handling and bioinformatics
- training in skills in technologies such as autonomous platforms and novel sensors
- training in people skills to enable you to develop as a ambassador of global environmental issues to industry and society
- opportunities for international, industrial, commercial and policy placements and sea going and field research with partner organisations
You'll need to list 2 or 3 INSPIRE PhD projects you are interested in researching.
About the INSPIRE Doctoral Training Partnership
INSPIRE, the Interdisciplinary Southampton Partnership for Investigators Researching the Environment, aims to address global environmental challenges.
The University leads the partnership, which hosts researchers at the British Antarctic Survey, Marine Biological Association, National Oceanography Centre and Natural History Museum.
It also collaborates closely with a range of other public and private sector partners.
