I’ve gained invaluable experience in a wide range of archaeological skills and it's been a fantastic opportunity to meet people working at the forefront of Palaeoanthropology.

I spent my year abroad placement as a Research Assistant at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. I worked between the Origins Centre and the Evolutionary Studies Institute at the university on various projects.

My time in South Africa has been incredible; I’ve had the opportunity gain experience working both in the field at some amazing sites in The Cradle of Humankind, as well as in the lab. I’ve gained invaluable experience in a wide range of archaeological skills and it's been a fantastic opportunity to meet people working at the forefront of Palaeoanthropology. As well as working at the university, I’ve had the opportunity to travel around South Africa, probably the most beautiful country I’ve ever been to.
