Miss Holly Jenkins is postgraduate research student within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

2017- present: PhD at University of Southampton, Ocean and Earth Science, and The Scottish Association for Marine Science, in the NERC Changing Arctic Ocean research programme

2013-2017: MSci Marine Biology, University of Southampton, Ocean and Earth Science (first-class honours)

Research interests

- Arctic zooplankton; particularly growth and egg production in Calanus glacialis and C. hyperboreus, and how this is effected by food quality (MPhil/PhD research, 2017-)

- Land ocean carbon transfer; respiration rates in rivers in Borneo with changing land use (LOCATE, 2017-)

- The effect of climate change on benthic bacterial community structure and metabolic functioning (MSci research, 2016-17)

- Sea turtle research and conservation; genetic diversity, feeding and behavioural habits, egg production and morphometrics in Chelonia mydas, Eretmochelys imbricata, Lepidochelys olivacea, Caretta caretta, and Dermochelys coriacea (2012-2015)
