About
Milos is a Senior Research Fellow in the Silicon Photonics group at the Optoelectronics Research Centre. In 2017 he was awarded a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship to lead work into developing silicon chips for mid-infrared sensing, for use in environmental monitoring and medical diagnostics. He has authored or co-authored more than 175 journal and conference papers. His research has focussed on developing a wide range of mid-infrared integrated photonic components in silicon and germanium material platforms (e.g. waveguides, spectrometers, modulators, photodetectors), and using them to make integrated sensing systems. He has previously worked on the EPCRC project “MIGRATION” and on the EPSRC “Future Photonics Hub”. He completed his PhD (“Silicon photonic modulators for the mid-infrared”) at the University of Southampton in 2014.
