Lucy Hoyes is a Principal Teaching Fellow and Co‑Director of Initial Teacher Education at Southampton Education School, where she also leads the PGCE Secondary programme.
A passionate educator with an MA in Professional Enquiry, Lucy is particularly committed to fostering inclusive practice within teacher education. She is deeply interested in how we can better support neurodivergent beginning teachers to thrive; both during training and as they transition into the profession.
With a long‑standing dedication to developing young people’s numeracy skills across the curriculum, Lucy champions innovative, research‑informed approaches that empower learners and teachers alike.
She is also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
