Current research
Katie’s PhD, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School for Primary Care Research (SPCR), uses the person-based approach to improve communication in primary care consultations for painful and heavy menstrual bleeding.
The research draws on input from primary care practitioners, patients and public contributors to develop practical training for practitioners that is grounded in real-world experiences and needs.

Biography
Katie is undertaking a PhD in Primary Care and Population Sciences at the Primary Care Research Centre, University of Southampton. Her PhD is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) School of Primary Care Research (SPCR).
Katie holds an MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Southampton and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Greenwich.
