Climate Change Health and Wellbeing

About us

Find out more about our research.

Climate change makes health inequalities worse and impacts vulnerable populations more. To protect public health and ensure long-term wellbeing, we need to mitigate and adapt to climate change. To make the biggest impact, we need to recognise and champion the health benefits that come from these climate actions.

We focus on specific impacts of climate change on health and wellbeing in four areas:

  • air quality
  • heat stress
  • food insecurity
  • coastal communities

Each area generates data on the potential impacts and consequences of strategies and interventions on health, including the trade-offs and benefits.
