Project overview

This was a fully funded ESRC (UK Economic and Social Research Council) studentship for a PhD at King's College London, part of the federal University of London. The project focussed on integration amongst Africa's equity markets (national securities exchanges) in terms of their provision of a valuable source of development finance to ensure sustainability and regeneration of the continental economies.
The studentship involved a second year research data collection trip to Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique and South Africa as well as conference presentations in Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa.
While successfully undertaking the three year studentship, there were additional secondments to HSBC investment bank and also to Credit Agricole investment bank in the city of London financial district.
