Autonomous Surface Vehicles Ltd (ASV) have entered into a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Dr Mario Brito, a Lecturer in Risk Analysis & Risk Management in the Centre for Risk Research (CRR).

Dr Brito is the Principle Investigator and Leading Academic Advisor on the project that will embed innovative risk and reliability management capability into ASV by transferring knowledge from research and development undertaken in the CRR. This capability will complement ASV’s ongoing commitment to improving the reliability of autonomous systems.

Dr Brito said "Marine Autonomous systems are a novel technology with few early adopters. De-risking this technology to controllable levels will give others the confidence that the technology has reached a good level of maturity. We are extremely pleased to be working with ASV Ltd on the development of risk management processes tailored to their industry."
