Excellent opportunity to join the SHTAC team

SHTAC are seeking a researcher with exceptional analytical and communication skills to join our team supporting national health policy decisions about the effective and cost-effective use of medicines and other healthcare technologies.

The Southampton Health Technology Assessments Centre (SHTAC) is a centre of excellence for HTA, with expertise in finding, reviewing and synthesising clinical evidence and in the use of decision modelling and health economics to appraise benefits for patients and value for the National Health Service. We are one of nine Technology Assessment Review (TAR) teams contracted to provide independent and objective reports for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). We also have an active programme of other research, including cost-effectiveness analysis in the context of clinical trials, data analysis and modelling.

SHTAC is part of the Wessex Institute, in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Southampton. The University of Southampton is a founding member of the Russell Group, a top 20 UK university and one of the top 100 universities in the world. With a global reputation for academic excellence, we offer a stimulating, challenging and dynamic working environment for all our staff.
